Isa.
66:23-24 - From one New Moon to another and from
one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,"
says the LORD. "And they will go out and look upon the dead bodies of
those who rebelled against me; their worm will not die, nor will their
fire be
quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind."
Dan. 12:2 -
And many of them that
sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life,
and some
to shame and everlasting contempt. (KJV)
Mal. 4:1 -
"Surely the day is
coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every
evildoer will
be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire," says
the
LORD Almighty. "Not a root or a branch will be left to them.
Mat.
13:41-43 - The Son of Man will send out his angels,
and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and
all who do
evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be
weeping
and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in
the
kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
Mat.
22:12-14 - 'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in
here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless. "Then the king
told
the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the
darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' "For many
are invited, but few are chosen."
Mat.
24:50-51 - The master of that
servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour
he is not
aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the
hypocrites,
where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat. 25:41 -
"Then he will say
to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the
eternal
fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Mark 9:42-49
- And
whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it
is
better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were
cast
into the sea. And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for
thee to
enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the
fire
that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire
is not
quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for
thee to
enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into
the fire
that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire
is not
quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for
thee to
enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be
cast
into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not
quenched. For
every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be
salted with
salt. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltiness, wherewith
will ye
season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
(KJV)
Luke 12:4-5
- I
tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and
after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear:
Fear him, who after the killing of the body, has power to throw you
into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

Luke
16:23-24 - In hell,
where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far
away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham,
have pity
on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool
my
tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
2
Thess. 1:8-10 - He will punish
those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
They
will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the
presence of
the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be
glorified
in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have
believed.
This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.
Heb.
10:26-27 - If we deliberately
keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no
sacrifice
for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of
raging fire
that will consume the enemies of God.
2 Pet. 2:17
- These men are springs
without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is
reserved for
them.
Jude 1:13 -
They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up
their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been
reserved
forever.
Jude 1:6-7 -
And the angels who did
not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own
home—these he has
kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the
great Day.
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave
themselves
up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of
those who
suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
Rev. 14:9-12 - A
third angel
followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast
and
his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he,
too, will
drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength
into the
cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the
presence of
the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises
for ever
and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast
and his
image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." This calls for
patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments
and
remain faithful to Jesus.
Rev.
20:10 - And the devil, who deceived them, was
thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false
prophet
had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev.
20:14-15 - Then death and Hades were thrown into the
lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name
was not
found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Rev.
21:8 - But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the
murderers, the
sexually
immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all
liars–their place
will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." |
